The Powertones are a crowd-pleasin‘, jump swingin’, roots rockin’ band from Central Jersey. Their motto is simple: “If the audience is having fun, we’re doing it right!” They stand out from the crowd with their authentic sounds of an era when big cars ruled, Drive-in theatres were hot and Rock & Roll was young. Vintage gear, greasy guitar sounds and soulful vocals set this band apart. Gladys Bryant (bass & vocals) & Mike Post (guitar & vocals) perform as a duo, trio, or a full band. The Powertones have performed throughout New Jersey and the tri- state area rocking crowds young, old and everything in between! Mike Post ~ Guitar & Vocals
After seeing BB King live at age 17, Mike was hooked on the Blues and then began to study the styles of James Burton, Keith Richards and Junior Watson. Mike's sound is a compelling combination of all these and more.
Gladys Bryant ~ Vocals & Bass
Gladys has been a full time professional musician since earning her music degree from Brooklyn College and has performed with many bands including country, rock, pop, jazz and blues. Possessing a gritty and soulful vocal quality, along with a dynamic stage presence, Gladys always leaves the audience wanting more.
